Density
▶ 1. Low density PTFE TAPE : 0.20g/cm3---0.30g/cm3
▶ 2. Medium density PTFE TAPE: 0.30g/cm3---0.70g/cm3
▶ 3. High density PTFE TAPE: 0.70g/cm3---1.8g/cm3
With density <0,70g/cm3 PTFE TAPE are applied for the sealing of threaded joints on systems for water, compressed air, cooling and steam systems and hydraulic systems.
PTFE TAPE according to MIL-T27730A, UL. Applied for all types of threaded fittings for water, most chemicals, oxygen, gasoline, natural gas, hydraulic and high-pressure lines.
--- APPLICATION ---
PTFE seal tape is appropriate for use in pipes and fittings for plumbing and gas connections such as pipe threads, thread on pipe fittings etc. As a sealing material widely, it is used in industrial applications, civil-construction, machinery, chemicals, and space navigation especially in drainage systems.

--- DIRECTIONS FOR USE ---
For threads up to 1-½” diameter, use ½” width of thread seal tape. For larger diameter threads, use ¾” width of thread seal tape.
▶ 1. Clean the male and female threads thoroughly.
▶ 2. Wrap the PTFE tape around the male thread. Take care to keep the tape under tension as you are wrapping so the tape moulds itself into root of the thread.
▶ 3. Make sure that you wrap with the thread.
▶ 4. Make sure that the PTFE tape does not overlap the end of the fitting.
